Job Description of Messenger Driver:

The role of a UPS Messenger Driver is a critical part of our organization, tasked with delivering packages to homes and businesses. You will drive our renowned brown trucks, ensuring the prompt and courteous delivery of packages to customers. As someone who enjoys physical activity, working outside, and driving, you will find this to be an ideal position. Your daily duties will involve delivering parcels of all sizes and shapes, providing exceptional customer service, and representing UPS with pride and distinction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Messenger Driver:

• Successful operation of a UPS delivery vehicle demands adherence to all necessary traffic and safety regulations.
• Ensure packages are safely packed, transported, and delivered to different destinations, whether a residence or a commercial building.
• Prioritize exceptional customer service, striving to make sure every customer has a positive and memorable delivery experience.
• The UPS Uniform and Personal Appearance Guidelines are designed to ensure a professional look is maintained and should always be followed.
• Integrate handheld devices into delivery operations to optimize routes, save time, and increase productivity.
• Employees must wear the UPS-provided uniform to conform to the appearance standards set by the organization.
• Work complete shifts, which generally extend from 8 to 10 hours daily.

Qualifications and Experience of Messenger Driver:

• Aptitude to carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
• You do not need to hold a CDL for this job, but possessing a valid driver’s license is a must. The applicable license type varies depending on the location.
• Successfully clear the medical evaluation required by the Department of Transportation.
• Outstanding customer care and proficient driving expertise.
• The right to work in the U.S. is granted to those who are able to provide proof of citizenship, permanent residency or an employment authorization document.

Salary:

The compensation package for this position includes an hourly wage of $23.00.
