Job Summary of Lead Service Associate:

This role plays a critical role in warehouse operations by providing hands-on support and coordination in package handling, inventory control, and shipping activities. This position ensures service excellence through consistent performance, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective team coordination. The role supports core UPS business operations and engages in process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Lead Service Associate:

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities with supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
• Handle packages and materials up to 70 lbs.
• Operate various types of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts and pallet movers.
• Use radio frequency (RF) scaers for electronic inventory management.
• Perform tasks accurately and independently, following defined job processes.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inbound, outbound, and inventory control activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and accuracy standards.
• Support service delivery to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Engage with vendors, customers, and internal teams to support business operations.
• Oversee daily facility functions including compliance, staffing, inventory, safety, and profitability.
• Provide customer service and strengthen customer relationships, including face-to-face interactions.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience of Lead Service Associate:

• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment and RF scaers preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes and computer-based systems (e.g., WMS).
• Advanced manual skills and problem-solving abilities gained through training and experience.
• Ability to work independently and lead others within set procedures and guidelines.
