Technology and Cybersecurity Audit Staff

Job Summary:

You will play a key role in auditing global technology and information security processes to ensure that all UPS business entities are operating securely and efficiently. You will evaluate risks and test controls related to information security, such as application security, vulnerability management, network security, and encryption. Your responsibilities will also include performing audits for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and identifying control weaknesses or risks that could impact the organization. Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of cloud-based and on-premise systems, evaluating controls across operating systems, databases, and servers to ensure robust security practices.
• Perform medium to high complexity testing of IT application controls and IT general controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Execute risk-based audits, focusing on technology and information security risks, and assess the effectiveness of controls in place.
• Independently evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of controls with minimal guidance.
• Analyze audit data, identify risks, and document findings and conclusions in a web-based tool.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in information security.
• Provide support for the identification of control gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and security.
• Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends to inform audit processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Required: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in technology and cybersecurity auditing.
• Proven ability to audit in both cloud and on-premise environments, including evaluating application security, vulnerability management, and general computer control domains.
• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, general computer controls, and best practices.
• Experience with risk-based auditing and documentation in web-based tools.
• Ability to analyze complex data and draw actionable conclusions to improve security and operational effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm or a Fortune 100 company.
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification.
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
