Job Summary of District Operations Manager:

The District Manager for The UPS Store plays a critical role in overseeing and enhancing the operations of multiple franchise locations. This position demands a strategic leader who excels at operational management, team development, and driving business results. The District Manager ensures that stores meet operational standards, achieve financial goals, and provide exceptional customer experiences. This leadership role will require expertise in store performance optimization, staff training, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and profitability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of District Operations Manager:

• Operational Management: Oversee daily store operations, including inventory control, store presentation, and customer service standards to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow across all locations.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of store staff. Focus on team motivation, performance feedback, and creating opportunities for growth and skill development.
• Sales Strategy Execution: Implement strategies to boost sales performance. Analyze sales data, identify trends, and guide store teams in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain the highest level of customer service across all stores. Address customer complaints and resolve issues swiftly, ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint.
• Emergency Management: Be prepared to act as the first responder in emergencies or urgent situations, ensuring that stores maintain operational continuity without disruption.

Qualifications and Experience of District Operations Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of retail or operations management experience, with a proven track record of success in managing multiple locations or large teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide diverse teams.
• Experience in sales analysis and ability to develop effective sales strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on iovative solutions for both operational and customer service challenges.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between store locations as required (Montgomery County to Washington, DC).
