Job Summary of Quality Control Technician:

The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading P&ID and isometric drawings, managing project quality including documentation, weld/flange tracking, NDE, and welder certifications. This individual must also be knowledgeable in safety compliance and lead safe work practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Quality Control Technician:

• Interpret NDE methods such as PT, MT, UT, and RT.
• Interface with Authorized Inspectors, client reps, and third-party inspectors.
• Test assembled vessels for leaks using water or gas under pressure.
• Evaluate flanged coections per B31.3 and ASME standards B16.5, B16.47.
• Review and assess material test reports (MTRs).
• Ensure proper flange assembly and bolt torque techniques.
• Verify correct assembly of heat exchangers, piping systems, towers, drums, and column internals.
• Communicate effectively with engineering, supervision, and craft persoel.
• Select proper tools and equipment for tasks and ensure safe setup.
• Comply with PPE and OSHA/ANSI safety standards.
• Perform other duties as directed and work flexible hours including day or night shifts.

Qualifications and Experience of Quality Control Technician:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 96 months of petrochemical industry experience preferred.
• 36 months of field QC experience preferred.
• Valid TWIC card, drug screen, background check, and physical required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.
• Must provide own transportation to the job site.
