Job Summary of The UPS Store Center Associate:

This role is a network of individually owned and operated franchised service centers that specialize in small business solutions.The Center Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service by processing packages for shipment and operating various office equipment. The role involves advising customers on products and services, providing accurate information, and recommending the best-value options based on industry best practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of The UPS Store Center Associate:

• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and respond to telephone inquiries.
• Engage in active listening with customers, team members, and leadership to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
• Own the customer’s shipping needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Continuously learn about the products and services offered, staying up-to-date on industry trends.
• Operate all equipment, software, and devices expertly, while training others to do the same.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties such as operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and laminating machines.

Qualifications and Experience of The UPS Store Center Associate:

• Weekend availability is required.
• Full-time position with 37.5 hours per week.
• Willingness to take the exam to become a Notary Public or be a current Notary Public.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math.
• Effective salesperson with a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Dependable, responsible, and prompt in all job duties.
• Able to lift 40+ pounds.

Salary:

The starting rate is $16 per hour. For those who obtain their Notary License, the salary increases to $40,000 per year.
