Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Delivery Driver:

• Transport parcels securely and efficiently to their intended destination using UPS delivery vehicles for both business establishments and homes.
• It is important to offer exceptional service when delivering packages so as to achieve customer satisfaction.
• All UPS employees must at all times dress according to the appearance guidelines laid down by the company so as to remain compliant with DOT rules as well as other internal regulations.
• The safe delivery of lifted or relocated packages weighing up to 70 lbs depends largely on how they are handled or transported.
• Work closely together with other members of staff in order to plan delivery schedules and routes more effectively.
• Accurately document shipments so that assigned tasks can be completed promptly.

Qualifications and Experience of Local Delivery Driver:

• Possession of a valid driving license without any past infringements records.
• Ability to lift objects weighing seventy pounds while meeting DOT physical examination requirements.
• Good communication skills are essential for interacting with customers; excellent customer service abilities gained through wide exposure in various sectors like this one .
• High school certificate from an accredited institution
• Previous work experience in package delivery (though not required, can be advantageous)
