Job Summary of Pipe Fabricator:

UPS Industrial Services is seeking skilled and experienced individuals to join our team. This role involves the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems and related equipment used in industrial production and processing systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Pipe Fabricator:

• Interpret results of NDE methods such as PT, MT, UT, and RT.
• Coordinate with Authorized Inspectors (AI), client representatives, and third-party inspectors.
• Conduct hydrostatic or pneumatic testing of vessels, observing for leakage or defects.
• Cut, thread, and shape pipe to specifications using hand and power tools.
• Attach piping to structures using clamps, brackets, or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipe for accurate fitting and alignment.
• Plan and execute installation or repair tasks per specifications.
• Select appropriate materials including pipe types, supports, and hangers.
• Maintain and modify pipe systems and related machinery.
• Install automatic control systems for regulating fluid flow.
• Shut off flow systems safely using valves and tools as needed.
• Replace worn or damaged components.
• Inspect work areas to identify obstructions or safety concerns.
• Operate pumps to clear water from flooded spaces.
• Dip nonferrous pipes in molten tin and lead to prevent corrosion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience of Pipe Fabricator:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• NCCER certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 8 years of journeyman-level pipe fabrication experience.
• Ability to pass a craft skills test, if required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a valid TWIC card.
• Ability to pass a physical and PFT/FIT test.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
